The artwork features striking portraits of Liam and Noel Gallagher, rendered in bold, photorealistic detail against a deep-blue backdrop. According to the artist, it was inspired by the band’s 1990s press imagery and the desire to give something lasting back to the Burnage community.

Why Sifters Matters
Sifters is woven into Oasis mythology. Long before fame, Liam and Noel would browse and buy records here. Its mention in “Shakermaker” turned the small Burnage shop into a pilgrimage site for fans worldwide. Today, it remains a working record store — and now, with this mural, a physical monument to the band’s roots.
If you are going to visit, please be respectful, and kind, plus buy a record from the shop.
