Morning Glory Unplugged - Released.

As NME reports, the track reveals a more reflective, close-mic’d vocal from Noel Gallagher, replacing the roaring wall of guitars that defined the original. The performance draws attention to the song’s melody and harmonics — elements often buried under the dense layers of the studio mix.

Was This Why Noel Was at the Studio Earlier This Year?

The release comes months after Noel was photographed arriving at Abbey Road Studios in London, prompting speculation that he had been working on new material or special anniversary mixes. Fans now believe that visit may have been for the Morning Glory (Unplugged) session. NME confirms that this version features Noel’s vocals, suggesting fresh takes recorded in 2025 mixed in with Liams original vocals from the 90s.

Interestingly, listeners have detected faint traces of Liam Gallagher’s original backing lines still present in the mix — likely retained from the initial multitrack. That blend of old and new gives the recording a subtle, time-spanning quality: a dialogue between the brothers’ voices thirty years apart.
