In a typically blunt update on X (formerly Twitter), Liam told fans the rehearsals “sounded fucking filthy” and described the experience as “spiritual”, “biblical”, and “like it never happened” — referring to the band’s 15-year estrangement since their infamous 2009 split.
“No time to get emotional – we’ve got a lot of catching up to do,” Liam said in response to a fan asking if the moment felt surreal.
The reunion includes Noel Gallagher, Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs, Gem Archer, and Andy Bell, along with longtime tour collaborators including Joey Waronker on drums
This is the first time Liam and Noel have been in a room rehearsing Oasis songs together since the backstage blow-up in Paris that ended the band in 2009.
Despite management insisting there are no current plans for new Oasis material, Liam’s comments today have reignited hopes for more than just a tour. “Let’s just take it one day at a time,” he told one follower when asked if the band might record again.
The Oasis Live '25 Tour officially kicks off in Cardiff on July 4, with dates across the UK, Europe, and North America already sold out.
As of today, Oasis fans can finally breathe a collective sigh of relief: the band is back in the room, rehearsing, and sounding filthy.
