Lyrics
People try to put us d-down (Talking about my generation)
Just because we get around (Talking about my generation)
Things they do look awful c-c-cold (Talking about my generation)
I hope I die before I get old (Talking about my generation)
This is my generation
This is my generation, baby
Why don’t you all f-fade away (Talkin’ ’bout my generation)
And don’t try to dig what we all s-s-say (Talkin’ ’bout my generation)
I’m not trying to cause a big s-s-sensation (Talkin’ ’bout my generation)
I’m just talkin’ ’bout my g-g-g-generation (Talkin’ ’bout my generation)
This is my generation
This is my generation, baby
Why don’t you all f-fade away (Talkin’ ’bout my generation)
And don’t try to dig what we all s-s-say (Talkin’ ’bout my generation)
I’m not trying to cause a big s-s-sensation (Talkin’ ’bout my generation)
I’m just talkin’ ’bout my g-g-g-generation (Talkin’ ’bout my generation)
This is my generation
This is my generation, baby
People try to put us d-down (Talking about my generation
Just because we get around (Talking about my generation)
Things they do look awful c-c-cold (Talking about my generation)
I hope I die before I get old (Talking about my generation)
This is my generation
This is my generation, baby

Notes
"My Generation" by Oasis is a cover of the iconic 1965 song by The Who (written by Pete Townshend).
Oasis released their version as a B-side to their double A-side single "Little By Little / She Is Love" in September 2002
- Oasis recorded it on January 20, 2000, at Maida Vale Studios (a BBC session).
- It's a straightforward but energetic rock take on the mod-era classic, with Liam Gallagher delivering the vocals in his signature snarling style.
- The band has performed it live multiple times, including on TV (e.g., Later... with Jools Holland in 2000) and at concerts like in Manchester in 2005. Liam has also sung it with Roger Daltrey (The Who's singer).
