Lyrics

Here’s a song
It reminds me of when we were young
Looking back at all the things we’ve done
You gotta keep on keeping on

Out to sea
It’s the only place I honestly
Can get myself some peace of mind
You know it’s getting hard to fly

If I’m to fall
Would you be there to applaud
Or would you hide behind them all
‘Cos if I have to go
In my heart you grow
That’s where you belong

If I’m to fall
Would you be there to applaud
Or would you hide behind them all
‘Cos if I have to go
In my heart you grow
That’s where you belong

If I’m to fall
Would you be there to applaud
Or would you hide behind them all
‘Cos if I have to go
In my heart you grow
That’s where you belong

Guess I’m outta time
I’m outta time
I’m outta time
I’m outta time
I’m outta time

From Reddit

I’m Outta Time was released as a single and part of the Oasis’ final album "Dig Out Your Soul". The song was written by Liam which was unusual considering Noel wrote most of of the Band’s tunes. the song in my theory about the impending breakup of Oasis and the strained relationship between Liam and his older brother Noel.

The song begins by reminiscing about the past and the memories of youth, a common trope in Oasis' songs. However, the lyrics quickly take a more somber turn with the lines "Looking back at all the things we've done / You gotta keep on, keepin' on." The phrase "keep on, keepin' on" suggests a sense of resignation, as if Liam knows that the end of Oasis is inevitable, but he is determined to push through.

The verse that follows describes a sense of isolation and the need to escape, with the line "Out to sea, it's the only place I honestly / Can get myself some piece of mind." This may reflect Liam's desire to distance himself from the band and the pressures of their fame, as well as his attempts to find solace in personal pursuits.

The lyrics "If I’m to fall would you be there to applaud or would you hide behind them all" suggests that Liam was saying that, would Noel support him through his hard times or would Noel abbandon him in the dark. And following lyrics "Cause if I am to go, In my heart you’d grow and thats where you belong" suggests that Liam would always love Noel no matter what.

The final verse of "I'm Outta Time" is particularly poignant, with Liam acknowledging that his time with Oasis is coming to an end. The line "Guess I'm outta time, I'm outta time" suggests a sense of finality and resignation, as if Liam has accepted that the band is over and there is nothing he can do to change it.

The song is very emotional and prolific It’ goes to show that Liam with the right confidence is a good songwriter. The song also shows Liam at his vulnerability. It also shows that Liam truly loves Noel.
